Arthaus Clay is the new clay studio in Midlothian, VA that is part of Arthaus Visual Arts Studio.  Arts educator Meg Foster started Arthaus to bring after school, weekend and summer arts education to children.  Over the years the mission has expanded to serve artists of all ages and mediums.

In recent years, well known Richmond Studio Potter, Lee Hazelgrove has joined as manager of Arthaus Clay. The new studio has been outfitted with 10 wheels in the main studio, plenty of storage space for clay and work, slab roller, community glazes, plaster molds, wedging, glazing and handbuilding tables and more.

Lee and other instructors are now offering group lessons seven days a week.  Additionally there are Open Studio hours for class participants.

A new addition in 2025 is the Arthaus Clay Membership!  Members have two options - unlimited access to the studio or access 30 hours a month.  This includes access to all equipment including additional wheels in the member-only studios. Clay must be purchased from the studio and several clay bodies are available.  Price of clay includes access to studio glazes and bisque and final firing.
